Biography
        • Hayley Williams - Vocals
Hayley grew up in Meridian, Mississippi, listening to all of the stuff her parents listened to in their cars, which was anything from Boston to Aretha Franklin. Eventually, Hayley got into ‘N Sync, whom she credits for any ounce of talent she may or may not have. Hayley was always so shy and had a serious case of stage fright, but she knew she wanted to sing and knew that she wanted to be part of a great band.
Around the time Hayley was eleven, she wanted to start taking music seriously. Although, there weren't many opportunities to sing in public other than at a church or a school talent show, Hayley got over her shyness and sang wherever she could to gain experience. Thankfully, by the time she was thirteen, her family moved to Franklin (Tennessee). Hayley immediately tried out for a funk/rock cover band called The Factory, and that’s where she met Jeremy. They always joked about being in other bands and getting big.
Outside of music, Hayley had no friends whatsoever. So, she quit going to public school and started school at a once a week tutorial. Her first day there, she met Zac and Josh. They were already in a band and after watching them practice she knew she wanted to be a part of it. Hayley was hoping for a while that they would ask her to come sing or at least write a song or two with them. Finally, they did thank God.
        • Jeremy Davies - Bass Guitar
Jeremy really wanted to play the guitar because his dad did, but one day his dad told him that he should try out the bass, and if he liked it then he could play for him when he sang in Children’s Church. A few days later, someone gave his dad an old starter bass to give to Jeremy. He tried it out and found that he really loved it… so, he played in children’s church for about a year. At the same time, Jeremy was going to Hillsboro Middle School in Lieper’s Fork, Tennessee, where they had just started a music program for the students called, “Kids On Stage.” It was known as the number one music program for a public school in the world. Jeremy thought it was the coolest thing. He had a class called “Rock Band”, where he got to start a band and play cover songs for class. That school had a huge affect on Jeremy and he believe's that it got him where he is now.
While Jeremy was there, he started to get into R&B and funk music, so he put together a funk cover band. His band played song’s by Michael McDonald, Stevie Wonder, Jamaroqui, Aretha Franklin, and many more funk and soul artists. As they started to get better they were playing lots of shows. Sometimes, they would get to leave and go play at other schools, and once they got really good they would even play shows out of town. Eventually, one of the lead singers had to leave, so they put up adds for singers to come and try out. One day, Hayley called and said that she wanted to come and try out. She came and immediately they said, “Yes”. So, that’s where Jeremy met Hayley.
Then about a year and a half later, Hayley called him and said “Hey, I’m in band and we really need…” and before she could get another word out Jeremy said, “Yes! I will!” He went and tried out ,where they were practicing, at the Farro’s house. They ate a lot of Taco Bell and just had the best time. Now, that they are on the road, they eat Taco Bell almost everyday and he's so happy to be part of this incredible band.
        • Josh Farro - Lead Guitar
Squeeze, James taylor, Jackson Browne and Rick Astley are what Josh grew up listening to. In the late 90’s indie rock bands, such as Self and Failure, became more of an interest for him. Those bands inspired him to become a musician. He picked up guitar at about age 13 and started a band with his brother, Zac, who at the time was learning to play the drums. They would sit in their room and cover anything from Weezer to Incubus to Sum 41 songs. They eventually began writing their own songs and after a couple of years their band was searching for a lead singer. Both Josh and Zac had just recently met Hayley at school and they found out that she had an outstanding voice. So, they asked her to join and she did.
When they needed a bass player, Hayley suggested that they called her friend, Jeremy, that she'd been in a band with before. She said that he could play anything on the bass and that he had a really cool feel for music. So they thought that he might add a really cool sound to their music and so he came to Josh's house and practiced with them. Even though he looked completely different from the rest of the band at the time, they loved how well he sounded with them. So he joined the band that day, and that's how Paramore began.
        • Zac Farro - Drums
When Zac was 9 years old he became interested in drums from a program at school called “Bach to Rock.” A guest of the teacher brought in a shiny red drum kit and he asked the class if anyone wanted to try it out. Zac was the only one who raised his hand to go up and play so the teacher showed him a beat and Zac played it. That night, Zac went home and set up the typical pots and pans drum set and then later moved up in life to a bean bag and pillow. He played those for a while until, on his 11th birthday, he got his first drum set.
The second he set it up, Josh and Zac started playing together and they formed their first band ever. (The Josh and Zac Duo that consisted of guitar and drums only). One day, Zac met Hayley at school and she told me she sang. At the time Josh and Zac were looking for a lead singer to complete their awesome band and when she came and tried out they loved her. The first song they wrote as a band was Conspiracy.
